We are a society focused on treating symptoms, and only treating symptoms. Doctors have few answers for patients who simply want to understand:
Why is my body doing is?
What's causing this?
How do I address the root cause of this symptom?
As I've mentioned in a previous YouTube video, high cholesterol is a symptom, it is not the cause. It is a response to an underlying condition in the body, not the problem itself. But doctors prescribe pharmaceutical drugs to treat the symptom, as if it were the problem, and that's why the symptom comes back when the drugs are discontinued. And that's why most people become dependent on drugs for the rest of their life -- because they're not being told how to address the cause. Statin drugs address the symptom by manipulating biological functions to produce lower cholesterol numbers. They do not address the underlying cause.
Even if your doctors don't get it, it's important for YOU to understand that cholesterol is one of the body's anti-inflammatory substances and it is produced in excess amounts when a highly acidic/inflammatory condition is present in the body and there's adrenal gland weakness. The adrenal glands are involved in producing multiple anti-inflammatory substances such as corticosteroids and when they're down, the body begins to use other resources to maintain a proper pH balance, to neutralize inflammation and acidity, and protect your cells.
So dealing with the root causes of high cholesterol involves alkalizing the diet (not just cutting out red meat and saturated fats), detoxing the body, and removing sources of chronic stress, which is a major reason why the adrenal glands go down and why the body chemistry turns acidic and why blood vessels become damaged. Many, many people successfully lower their cholesterol through alkalizing their diet and by detoxifying their body. A client of mine recently dropped his total cholesterol 40 points in less than a month on a Core Detox Program.
The first video is a clip from the documentary Statin Nation and "busts" the following myths:
#1 Saturated diet fat accumulates on the wall of the arteries like "pouring grease down a kitchen sink", blocking them, and causing heart disease and heart attacks.
Fact: The cholesterol accumulates in the artery wall, not on the wall.
#2 HDL cholesterol is "good" for you and LDL is "bad" for you.
Fact: In a study of 137,000 people admitted to hospitals with heart disease, their LDL or "Bad" cholesterol was lower than the "Bad" cholesterol of the general population.
#3 Lowering your cholesterol reduces heart disease.
Fact: Plenty of studies have contracdicted this theory, including those done on men in the UK, showing up to a 40% decrease in cholesterol levels by individuals, but no change in heart disease.
As the second video below describes, statin drugs do not address the underlying causes of high cholesterol, and they cause a whole set of new problems for people including memory loss, sexual dysfunction, digestive issues, muscle pain, liver damage, etc. And all the while, the underlying chronic inflammation remains unaddressed and steadily causes the degeneration of cells in your body -- which is the real underlying cause of heart disease, not high cholesterol.
If you know anyone who is on statin drugs or dealing with high cholesterol, please share this information with them and help them understand that 1) cholesterol does not cause heart disease, 2) statin drugs have plenty of negative health consequences and 3) there are alternative options if they want to address the root causes of their health issues instead of treating symptoms for the rest of their life.
