What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an alternative healing therapy, focused on correcting imbalances of energy in the body. It's roots lie in China and India and this therapy has been used for more than 2,500 years ago. Acupuncture is used to prevent, diagnose and treat disease, by modifying energy flowing in the body (known as qi or chi) by applying thin needles to the body at specific energy points.
This vital life force or chi flows along a sophisticated network of energy pathways, or highways, circuiting the body called "meridians" in Traditional Chinese Medicine and "nadis" in India's Ayurvedic Medicine tradition. Disease is believed to be a blockage in the energy flow of these channels and vibrant health is achieved when energy is allowed to circulate freely through the body.
By promoting and restoring the balance of energy flowing throughout the body, acupuncture can benefit a wide variety of health conditions:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Post-Chemo Nausea & Vomiting
The Cyberscan Customized Acupuncture Report
There are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points and 20 energy meridians/pathways (12 main and 8 secondary) in the body.
This Cyberscan report will narrow this field down and identify the specific energy points and meridians where energy is blocked or imbalanced, and affecting the body negatively. If there are several relevant points, the report will prioritize which acupuncture points need to be addressed first.
With this data, you and your acupuncture practitioner will be able to develop a tailored and more precise approach to helping you experience pain relief and/or resolve your health challenges in a more effective and timely manner.
This unique report will detail the acupuncture points where there is a block of energy/chi, which is causing imbalance in the physical body. Acupuncturists normally use a variety of assessment methods (palpation, pain points, medical history assessment, etc.) to assess where energy may be blocked, but there are hundreds of acupuncture points on the body. This Cyberscan report identifies each point of imbalance specifically, for more precise and effective treatments, which is especially useful for chronic and complex pain and illness syndromes.
